My vision when designing this one was to create potential for the kind of volume you might see, while toning down the value of randomness in the overall geometry. This rigidity in how ours “grow” upwards helps promote a tighter, more predictable fit for the spaces they are intended to occupy, while the perforated steel ribs help capture the roughness of nature’s tendency to be consistently inconsistent. I love creating these pieces, and they combine exceptionally well with our iron ocotillo.
Each organ pipe cactus is fully hand-crafted and tells its own story. Some are made of my own desire to create, while many are the result of custom commissions, suiting spaces and preferences, as desired.
